Development and preservation of a safe environment is a shared responsibility of management and staff at all levels of the organization. For this reason, every sensible effort needs to be taken to achieve the objective of accident prevention and protecting employee health. Our thinking is to command and reduce, to the maximum amount, any risk associated in the performance of our Business Building Services. CSI has the accountability to: Perfectly and thoroughly sustain the Safety Program, Perpetuate a workplace that is safe and healthful for the staff, Follow occupational safety and health standards, rules, regulations and orders, Maintain an effective accident prevention program. We expect all staff members to work in a manner of good safety procedures as displayed, trained, and reviewed. Management shall insist that staff observe and obey every rule, regulation and order necessary for the safe conduct of work, and shall take such action necessary to obtain compliance. Staff will contribute to the company safety protocol by obeying all safety rules, telling management about unsafe situations and recommending ways to improve upon the CSI Safety Program. There is no task so pertinent—nor any service so urgent—that staff should avoid working safely. Green Cleaning is described as “Cleaning to protect health without harming the environment” - Executive Order 13101. CSI is devoted to providing a clean and healthy place of employment for all our employees and yours. In 1992, former President Bill Clinton delivered this presidential Executive Order 13101 which directed the use of green cleaning products by facility managers of more than 100,000 federally owned or operated buildings worldwide. Executive Order 13101 also clarified what green cleaning is for the first time, saying that it’s the “use of products and services that reduce the health and environmental impacts compared to similar products and services used for the same purpose.” Green cleaning now means the most favorable use of goods that diminish indoor pollution simultaneously reducing environmental pollution and favor sustainable materials. Preservation of a healthy workplace is the joint responsibility of supervisors and staff at all stages of the CSI company. All employees are trained and held responsible to achieve the goal of eliminating the exterior’s role on the local territory and to stress and execute environmentally safe, low impact cleaning chemicals and practices. CSI understands that the principle of stewardship-- "the duty for handling, conducting or supervising the quality, state or condition of a business or institutional structure"- is important to the green cleaning viewpoint and essential to the success of our green cleaning program. CSI is devoted to follow a set of stewardship concepts that have actually been established by leaders of the green cleaning movement. These concepts will help in our efforts to be great stewards of the structures we service, their residents, our workers, and the overall environment.
