After 19 years of managing facilities for a Fortune 20 corporation, the Hammonds’ left the business world and founded CSI. We are responsible to develop, manage, and fully support the recognized Recycling Program of CSI and those of each of our clients as well as our employees. Our obligations include: Corporate and Field Management, Website Managers and Supervisors: Stimulate the interest of our staff members in the significance of environmental and recycling practices, Motivate involvement and foster a favorable attitude to recycling, Function as a liaison between CSI and our clients, Assist our clients with the implementation of their recycling procedures, Comply with governmental guidelines worrying the reduction, reuse, recycling and recovery of waste items. At our Customers' center-- All CSI workers must follow the facility's recycling program and the following steps: Use separate containers to collect recyclable documents, Gray brute with black liner is for collecting trash, Blue brute with clear liner is for gathering recycling paper, Use separate containers to gather recyclable documents, Collect cans, plastic and bottles in blue liners and place them in the commingle compactor, Gather shredded paper in clear liners and place it in the recycling compactor or container for exclusive information, Do not discard disposable gloves in the trash containers, Recycle all packaging products for our cleaning items, Talk to your Manager or the Recycling Organizer of the center for any additional information relating to the center's recycling treatments. CSI REDUCES: Collect cans, plastic and bottles in blue liners and place them in the commingle compactor, Usage separate containers for trash and recyclable materials at your desk and main locations, Print double sided (conserves up to 50%), Utilizes paperless payroll system to minimize paper checks to assist decrease the overall environmental footprint of our company, Print only when required, Evidence reads documents for errors prior to printing to prevent waste, Sends e-mail memos to save paper, Prevents printing emails, Examines any hard copy storage, replace with a back- up hard disk drive for centralized storage, Uses e-mail rather of corresponding by post, Switches equipment off completely at night and at weekends, Puts equipment on power save where possible, Purchases long lasting equipment, Has paper recycling stations beside copy machines and printers, Utilizes energy effective light bulbs (Usually they take in 8% less energy than a basic bulb It lasts about 12 times longer), Flattens all cardboard boxes.
