Our staff is our most valuable asset and every member of the CSI family is entitled to a safe and healthful environment. Employee health and safety is among the top priorites of our company and it is a CSI objective to provide a clean, safe and healthy working environment for all of its staff. CSI complies with all safety and health standards that are enforced by local, state and federal authorities. CSI will provide safety procedures, managerial controls, personal protective gear and training to reduce and eliminate exposure to dangerous material and prevent injury and illness. We have created, and will continually redo, policies, rules, and procedures, which will contribute to the safety of everyone involved. Creation and maintenance of a safe environment is a joint function of management and staff at all levels of the organization. For this purpose, all reasonable efforts should be made to accomplish the goal of improved safety and health preservation. Our philosophy is to command and reduce, to the maximum amount, any risk involved in the undertaking of our Single Tenant Facility Services. CSI has the accountability to: Fully and completely reinforce the Safety Program, Perpetuate a workplace that is safe and healthful for the staff, Comply with occupational safety and health standards, rules, regulations and orders, Maintain a successful accident avoidance program. We expect all employees to work according to solid safe practices as displayed, instructed, and reviewed. Management shall insist that employees witness and execute every rule, regulation and order necessary for the safe performance of labor, and require they take action needed to obtain compliance. Employees will submit to the company safety program by obeying all safety rules, telling management about unsafe situations and bringing up possible ways to improve the CSI Safety Program. There is no task so crucial—nor any service so urgent—that employees cannot take the time to work safely. CSI takes an active role in recycling and waste decrease and will comply with its clients recycling procedures. We are accountable to develop, handle, and fully support the established Recycling Program of CSI and those of each of our customers along with our employees. Our duties include: Corporate and Field Management, Website Managers and Supervisors: Promote the interest of our workers in the significance of environmental and recycling practices, Encourage involvement and cultivate a favorable attitude to recycling, Function as an intermediary between CSI and our clients, Assist our clients with the application of their recycling treatments, Abide by governmental guidelines concerning the reduction, reuse, recycling and healing of waste items. Company Employees: Take an active role by following the recycling procedures, Have a favorable mindset to waste decrease and recycling within your workspace, Suggest or suggest methods of reducing waste. At our Consumers' center-- All CSI staff members must follow the center's recycling program and the following steps: Use different containers to gather recyclable documents, Gray brute with black liner is for collecting garbage, Blue brute with clear liner is for collecting recycling paper, Use different containers to collect recyclable papers, Collect cans, plastic and bottles in blue liners and put them in the commingle compactor, Collect shredded paper in clear liners and position it in the recycling compactor or container for proprietary information, Do not get rid of disposable gloves in the trash containers, Recycle all packing materials for our cleansing products, Speak with your Manager or the Recycling Coordinator of the facility for any extra info concerning the facility's recycling treatments.
CSI REDUCES, REUSES, RECYCLES. CSI REDUCES: Collect cans, plastic and bottles in blue liners and position them in the commingle compactor, Usage different containers for garbage and recyclable products at your desk and main places, Print double sided (saves as much as 50%), Uses paperless payroll system to minimize paper checks to help minimize the general environmental footprint of our company, Print only when necessary, Proof checks out documents for errors prior to printing to prevent waste, Sends out e-mail memos to conserve paper, Prevents printing emails, Reviews any hard copy storage, change with a back- up hard drive for centralized storage, Uses email rather of sending letters by post, Switches equipment off completely in the evening and at weekends, Puts devices on power save where possible, Purchases durable devices, Has paper recycling stations next to copy machines and printers, Utilizes energy efficient light bulbs (Typically they consume 8% less energy than a basic bulb It lasts about 12 times longer), Flattens all cardboard boxes. REUSES: Recycles envelopes for internal flow, Reuses clean side of used paper for internal printing, Transforms scrap paper into post-it notes, Purchases sticky labels to cover old addresses and reuse envelopes externally, Purchases sticky labels to cover old addresses and reuse envelopes externally, Aims to use paper for more than one function, Recycles incoming product packaging and boxes for outgoing deliveries, Gets rid of plastic drink cups from the water cooler and utilize recyclable mugs, Repair works furnishings where possible or donate it to charity, Shreds low-quality paper and use as packaging. RECYCLES: Recycles our dominant product (most likely paper), Recycles corrugated cardboard, Recycles aluminum cans, plastic, glass, bottles and jars, and tin/steel food and beverage cans, throws caps and lids in the garbage, Recycles toner and inkjet cartridges, Recycles workplace furniture, Recycles batteries, Recycles our IT Hardware and smart phones.
