CSI INTERNATIONAL, INC. Building Operations CSI deploys many standard validation tools to guarantee that we are consistently delivering the Building Operations promised with the best quality. Our staff is our most valuable resource and everyone in the CSI family is entitled to a safe and healthful environment. Employee safety is a priority of our business and it is a CSI intention to support a clean, safe and healthy working conditions for all employees. CSI adheres to all safety and health requirements that are put forth by local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. CSI will provide safety procedures, managerial controls, personal protective gear and training to abate and reduce exposure to dangerous material and prevent injury and illness. We have created, and will continually redo, policies, rules, and techniques, which will add to the safety of everyone involved. Creation and preservation of a safe environment is a joint function of management and staff at all levels of the company. To this end, every sensible effort needs to be taken to accomplish the goal of improved safety and protecting employee health. Our philosophy is to command and reduce, to the greatest extent possible, any risk involved in the performance of our Building Operations. CSI has the responsibility to: Wholly and entirely reinforce the Safety Program, Perpetuate a place of employment that is safe and healthy for the staff, Adhere to occupational safety and health standards, rules, regulations and orders, Maintain an advantageous accident avoidance program. CSI expects all employees to work according to solid safe practices as posted, trained, and reviewed. Supervisors stress that staff observe and execute every rule, regulation and order needed for the safe performance of labor, and shall take such action necessary to obtain compliance. Staff will subscribe to the company safety program by following all safety rules, bringing unsafe conditions to the attention of management and recommending actions to improve the effectiveness of the CSI Safety Program. There is no job so crucial—nor any service so critical—that employees cannot take the time to work safely. CSI takes an active role in recycling and waste decrease and will adhere to its customers recycling procedures. We are accountable to develop, handle, and totally support the recognized Recycling Program of CSI and those of each of our clients in addition to our employees. Our obligations include: Corporate and Field Management, Site Managers and Supervisors: Stimulate the interest of our employees in the importance of environmental and recycling practices, Motivate participation and promote a favorable attitude to recycling, Function as a liaison in between CSI and our clients, Help our clients with the execution of their recycling treatments, Abide by governmental guidelines worrying the reduction, reuse, recycling and recovery of waste products. Business Employees: Take an active function by following the recycling procedures, Have a favorable attitude to waste reduction and recycling within your workspace, Recommend or suggest ways of minimizing waste. At our Consumers' facility-- All CSI workers should follow the center's recycling program and the following steps: Usage separate containers to gather recyclable papers, Gray brute with black liner is for gathering garbage, Blue brute with clear liner is for collecting recycling paper, Usage separate containers to collect recyclable papers, Collect cans, plastic and bottles in blue liners and put them in the commingle compactor, Collect shredded paper in clear liners and place it in the recycling compactor or container for exclusive information, Do not get rid of disposable gloves in the garbage containers, Recycle all packing materials for our cleansing items, Seek advice from your Supervisor or the Recycling Coordinator of the center for any additional information relating to the center's recycling procedures. CSI REDUCES: Collect cans, plastic and bottles in blue liners and position them in the commingle compactor, Usage different containers for garbage and recyclable products at your desk and main locations, Print double sided (conserves approximately 50%), Uses paperless payroll system to ease paper checks to assist decrease the general ecological footprint of our company, Print only when essential, Evidence reads files for errors before printing to avoid waste, Sends out email memos to save paper, Avoids printing e-mails, Examines any hard copy storage, replace with a back- up hard drive for central storage, Uses email rather of sending letters by post, Switches devices off totally at night and at weekends, Puts devices on power save where possible, Purchases durable devices, Has paper recycling stations beside photocopiers and printers, Uses energy efficient light bulbs (Typically they take in 8% less energy than a standard bulb It lasts about 12 times longer), Flattens all cardboard boxes. RECYCLES: Recycles our dominant material (more than likely paper), Recycles corrugated cardboard, Recycles aluminum cans, plastic, glass, bottles and containers, and tin/steel food and drink cans, throws caps and lids in the garbage, Recycles toner and inkjet cartridges, Recycles workplace furniture, Recycles batteries, Recycles our IT Hardware and smart phones.
