CSI has the responsibility to: Wholly and entirely support the Safety Program, Perpetuate a workplace that is safe and healthful for the employees, Follow occupational safety and health standards, rules, regulations and orders, Maintain an effective accident prevention plan. We expect all employees to work according to solid safety procedures as posted, trained, and discussed. Management stress that employees observe and obey every rule, regulation and order needed for the safe performance of their job, and shall take such action needed to secure compliance. Employees will subscribe to CSI’s safety program by obeying all safety rules, telling management about unsafe situations and recommending ways to improve upon the CSI Safety Program. There is no task so pertinent—nor any service so urgent—that staff should avoid working safely. The Green Seal Requirement for Commercial and Institutional Cleansing Services GS-42, develops ecological requirements for cleaning up service providers of industrial, public, and institutional structures, including in-house and external cleaning services, to create a green cleaning program that protects human health and the environment. The standard takes a systems approach with cleaning. Guidance is provided for tools and items used for cleansing (what is used for cleansing) and consists of staff training and preparation (how cleaning is done). The standard likewise consists of focus on ecological improvements that decrease toxicity, waste, and exposure to both structure occupants and custodial staff.
