CSI is committed to delivering a clean and healthy workplace for all our employees and yours. Presidential Executive Order 13101, issued in 1992, by former President Bill Clinton required the use of green cleaning products by building managers of more than 100,000 federally owned or operated facilities globally. The Order also defined green cleaning for the first time, saying that green cleaning is the “use of products and services that reduce the health and environmental impacts compared to similar products and services used for the same purpose.” Green cleaning is now the most favorable use of products that minimize indoor pollution while reducing environmental pollution and favor sustainable materials. Maintaining of a healthy environment is the shared job of supervisors and employees at every stage of the CSI organization. All employees are trained and held accountable to reach the goal of reducing the exterior’s impact on the local environment and to highlight and exercise environmentally safe, minimal impact cleaning chemicals and practices. CSI comprehends that the principle of stewardship-- "the obligation for handling, performing or monitoring the quality, state or condition of a industrial or institutional structure"- is essential to the green cleaning perspective and integral to the success of our green cleansing program.
