Our staff is our most valuable asset and everyone in the CSI family is entitled to a safe and healthful environment. Employee safety is one of our business priorities and it is a CSI intention to provide a clean, safe and healthy working conditions for all of its staff. CSI complies with all safety and health requirements that are enacted by local, state and federal authorities. CSI will provide safety procedures, executive controls, personal protective equipment and training to dampen and diminish exposure to hazards and stop injury and illness. We have created, and will constantly refine, policies, rules, and procedures, which will contribute to the safety of everyone around. Establishment and preservation of a safe environment is a shared function of management and staff at all levels of the company. For this purpose, all reasonable efforts should be taken to achieve the objective of improved safety and health preservation. Our philosophy is to command and reduce, to the maximum amount, any risk associated in the undertaking of our Building Management. CSI has the responsibility to: Wholly and entirely support the Safety Program, Maintain a workplace that is safe and healthful for the staff, Follow occupational safety and health standards, rules, regulations and orders, Perpetuate an effective accident prevention plan. CSI expects all staff members to work according to good safe practices as displayed, instructed, and discussed. Supervisors require that employees observe and execute every rule, regulation and order necessary for the safe conduct of work, and shall take such action needed to secure compliance. Employees will contribute to the company safety protocol by following all safety rules, telling management about unsafe situations and bringing up possible ways to improve the CSI Safety Program. There is no job so pertinent—nor any service so critical—that staff cannot take the time to work safely. The Green Seal Requirement for Commercial and Institutional Cleansing Solutions GS-42, develops environmental requirements for cleaning service providers of commercial, public, and institutional structures, including in-house and external cleaning company, to create a green cleansing program that protects human health and the environment. The standard takes a systems approach with cleansing. Assistance is provided for tools and products used for cleaning (exactly what is utilized for cleansing) and consists of staff training and planning (how cleaning is done). The requirement also consists of focus on ecological improvements that decrease toxicity, waste, and direct exposure to both structure occupants and custodial staff. The requirement can work as a tool to help companies start to do something about it to improve their cleaning company and is offered for Green Seal certification.
