Creation and preservation of a safe environment is a shared responsibility of management and staff at all levels of the company. For this purpose, all practical efforts should be made to accomplish the objective of accident prevention and health preservation. Our philosophy is to command and reduce, to the greatest extent possible, any risk involved in the performance of our Environmentally Friendly Cleaning. CSI has the responsibility to: Wholly and entirely support the Safety Program, Perpetuate a working environment that is safe and healthy for the staff, Follow occupational safety and health standards, rules, regulations and orders, Perpetuate a successful accident prevention plan. CSI expects all employees to work in a manner of solid safety procedures as displayed, instructed, and reviewed. Supervisors shall insist that employees visualize and follow every rule, regulation and order needed for the safe conduct of work, and require they take appropriate steps necessary to obtain compliance. Employees will subscribe to CSI’s safety protocol by following all safety rules, letting management know of safety concerns and bringing up possible ways to improve the CSI Safety Program. There is no job so pertinent—nor any service so urgent—that staff cannot take the time to work safely. Green Cleaning is defined as “Cleaning to protect health without harming the environment” - Executive Order 13101. CSI is committed to delivering a clean and healthy place of employment for all our employees and yours. In 1992, former President Bill Clinton issued this presidential Executive Order 13101 which lead the facility managers of more than 100,000 federally owned or operated facilities globally to start the use of green cleaning products. The Order also clarified what green cleaning is for the first time, communicating that it’s the “use of products and services that reduce the health and environmental impacts compared to similar products and services used for the same purpose.” Green cleaning now stands for the best use of goods that minimize indoor pollution while reducing environmental pollution and favor sustainable materials. Maintaining of a healthy environment is the joint responsibility of supervisors and employees at every stage of the CSI company. Every staff member is trained and held responsible to reach the goal of reducing the exterior’s impact on the local environment and to highlight and exercise environmentally safe, low impact cleaning chemicals and practices. CSI understands that the idea of stewardship-- "the duty for handling, supervising the quality or conducting, state or condition of an institutional or business structure"- is important to the green cleansing point of view and essential to the success of our green cleansing program. CSI is devoted to follow a set of stewardship principles that have been established by leaders of the green cleansing movement. These principles will assist in our efforts to be excellent stewards of the structures we service, their occupants, our workers, and the overall environment. Tidy for health very first and appearance second, Minimize human exposure to contaminants and cleaning products, Recognize cleaning as an environmental health benefit, Commit to occupational development of cleansing workers, Interact the worth of healthy buildings, Lessen particle, chemical and wetness residue when cleaning, Make sure employee and occupant security, Contain and decrease all toxins entering the structure, Dispose of cleansing products in environmentally safe ways, Develop and document routine upkeep schedules.
