To achieve this goal CSI has created the position of Director of Corporate Quality and Training for the purposes of managing CSI’s QA Program and to pay close attention to the quality procedures throughout all segments of our business. This job relies on direct reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and pays great attention to the execution and devotion to our high standards for gauging job performance, implementing training programs and recognizing and exceeding our customer’s expectations. The end result is the achieving of service excellence for the client. CSI uses multiple standard validation tools to guarantee that we are continually providing the Facilities Services promised with the best quality. CSI takes an active function in recycling and waste reduction and will abide by its clients recycling procedures. We are accountable to develop, handle, and completely support the established Recycling Program of CSI and those of each of our clients as well as our employees. Our obligations include: Corporate and Field Management, Site Managers and Supervisors: Promote the interest of our staff members in the importance of environmental and recycling practices, Motivate involvement and foster a favorable mindset towards recycling, Function as a liaison between CSI and our clients, Help our clients with the application of their recycling procedures, Abide by governmental policies concerning the reduction, reuse, recycling and recovery of waste items. Business Employees: Take an active function by following the recycling procedures, Have a positive attitude to waste reduction and recycling within your workspace, Advise or suggest ways of decreasing waste. At our Customers' center-- All CSI staff members must follow the facility's recycling program and the following steps: Use different containers to gather recyclable documents, Gray brute with black liner is for gathering garbage, Blue brute with clear liner is for collecting recycling paper, Usage separate containers to collect recyclable documents, Collect cans, plastic and bottles in blue liners and position them in the commingle compactor, Collect shredded paper in clear liners and position it in the recycling compactor or container for exclusive information, Do not get rid of non reusable gloves in the trash containers, Recycle all packaging materials for our cleaning products, Consult with your Supervisor or the Recycling Planner of the center for any extra information regarding the facility's recycling treatments. CSI REDUCES: Collect cans, plastic and bottles in blue liners and place them in the commingle compactor, Usage separate containers for trash and recyclable products at your desk and central locations, Print double sided (conserves as much as 50%), Utilizes paperless payroll system to minimize paper checks to help minimize the general environmental footprint of our company, Print just when required, Proof checks out documents for errors before printing to prevent waste, Sends out email memos to save paper, Prevents printing emails, Reviews any hard copy storage, change with a back- up disk drive for central storage, Utilizes e-mail instead of sending letters by post, Changes equipment off entirely in the evening and at weekends, Puts devices on power save where possible, Purchases resilient devices, Has paper recycling stations next to copy machines and printers, Uses energy effective light bulbs (Typically they consume 8% less energy than a basic bulb It lasts about 12 times longer), Flattens all cardboard boxes. REUSES: Recycles envelopes for internal blood circulation, Reuses clean side of utilized paper for internal printing, Transforms scrap paper into post-it notes, Purchases sticky labels to cover old addresses and reuse envelopes externally, Purchases sticky labels to cover old addresses and reuse envelopes externally, Tries to use paper for more than one function, Recycles inbound packaging and boxes for outbound shipments, Eliminates plastic drink cups from the water cooler and use multiple-use mugs, Repairs furniture where possible or donate it to charity, Shreds low-quality paper and usage as packaging. RECYCLES: Recycles our dominant material (probably paper), Recycles corrugated cardboard, Recycles aluminum cans, plastic, glass, bottles and jars, and tin/steel food and drink cans, tosses caps and covers in the garbage, Recycles toner and inkjet cartridges, Recycles workplace furnishings, Recycles batteries, Recycles our IT Hardware and mobile phones.
