CSI International, Inc., started in 1989 with its headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida providing outstanding service for over 23 years by surpassing our customers’ expectations offering Custodial Services to customers in Jersey City commercial buildings. CSI’s founders, Jayne and Geoff Hammond, have over 30 years of expertise in the Custodial Services field. After 19 years of managing facilities for a Fortune 20 corporation, the Hammonds’ left the business world and began CSI. Their plan to achieve their goal was short and sweet: "Say what we will do, do what we promise and have available for the customer objective evidence of what’s been done”. The success of their efforts is clear in the growth of CSI from 12 employees in 1989 to over 1700 employees currently managing buildings of 100,000 to 3.0 + million square feet in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Midwest. CSI’s growth has been accomplished by: Our impeccable reputation, Outstanding customer references, Replies to Quality Survey’s, and Honest Feedback. Throughout CSI’s constant expansion and advancement, our main goal, exceeding our customers’ expectations has continuously remained unchanged. CSI takes pride in our incomparable reputation for economical solutions and responsive services with uncompromising quality. What started two decades ago as a small, family-owned Janitorial Company is now a thriving family-owned building services provider offering a multitude of Custodial Services to owners and managers of commercial facilities. Green Cleaning is described as “Cleaning to protect health without harming the environment” - Executive Order 13101. CSI International, Inc. is dedicated to delivering a clean and healthy place of employment for every one of our staff and your building’s occupants. Presidential Executive Order 13101, delivered in 1992, by former President Bill Clinton required the building managers of more than 100,000 federally owned or operated buildings worldwide to begin using green cleaning products. Executive Order 13101 also clarified what green cleaning is for the first time, saying that green cleaning is the “use of products and services that reduce the health and environmental impacts compared to similar products and services used for the same purpose.” Green cleaning now means the most favorable use of goods that reduce indoor pollution as well as reduce environmental pollution and favor renewable materials. Preservation of a healthy environment is the joint task of management and staff at all stages of the CSI organization. Every staff member is trained and held accountable to reach the goal of minimizing the exterior’s role on the local environment and to stress and exercise environmentally safe, low impact cleaning chemicals and practices. CSI comprehends that the principle of stewardship-- "the duty for managing, supervising the quality or performing, state or condition of a business or institutional structure"- is important to the green cleansing point of view and essential to the success of our green cleansing program. CSI is dedicated to follow a set of stewardship principles that have been developed by pioneers of the green cleaning motion. These concepts will assist in our efforts to be excellent stewards of the buildings we service, their residents, our workers, and the total environment. Clean for health very first and look 2nd, Lessen human exposure to impurities and cleansing products, Acknowledge cleaning as an ecological health benefit, Commit to occupational development of cleansing workers, Communicate the value of healthy structures, Reduce wetness, chemical and particle residue when cleaning, Ensure employee and occupant safety, Contain and minimize all toxins getting in the building, Dispose of cleansing items in environmentally safe ways, Establish and record routine maintenance schedules.
