CSI has created, and will continually refine, policies, rules, and techniques, which will add to the safety of everyone around. Creation and maintenance of a safe environment is a shared responsibility of management and employees at all levels of the organization. For this reason, every sensible effort needs to be taken to reach the intention of accident prevention and health preservation. Our philosophy is to command and reduce, to the greatest extent possible, any risk associated in the performance of our Environmentally Safe Cleaning. CSI has the accountability to: Fully and completely support the Safety Program, Perpetuate a workplace that is safe and healthful for the employees, Adhere to occupational safety and health standards, rules, regulations and orders, Perpetuate a successful accident prevention program. CSI expects all employees to work in a manner of good safety procedures as displayed, trained, and talked about. Management shall insist that employees observe and execute every rule, regulation and order necessary for the safe performance of their job, and require they take appropriate steps necessary to obtain compliance. Employees will subscribe to the company safety program by obeying all safety rules, bringing unsafe conditions to the attention of management and bringing up possible ways to improve the CSI Safety Program. There is no task so important—nor any service so critical—that employees cannot take the time to work safely. Green Cleaning is defined as “Cleaning to protect health without harming the environment” - Executive Order 13101. CSI is dedicated to providing a clean and healthy workplace for all our staff and yours. Presidential Executive Order 13101, delivered in 1992, by former President Bill Clinton lead the facility managers of more than 100,000 federally owned or operated facilities globally to begin using green cleaning products. Executive Order 13101 also defined green cleaning for the first time, saying that green cleaning is the “use of products and services that reduce the health and environmental impacts compared to similar products and services used for the same purpose.” Green cleaning now stands for the best use of products that reduce indoor pollution as well as reduce environmental pollution and favor sustainable materials. Maintenance of a healthy environment is the joint responsibility of management and employees at all stages of the CSI organization. All staff is trained and held accountable to achieve the goal of reducing the exterior’s impact on the local territory and to highlight and execute environmentally safe, minimal impact cleaning chemicals and practices. CSI comprehends that the principle of stewardship-- "the obligation for handling, performing or monitoring the quality, state or condition of a commercial or institutional building"- is essential to the green cleaning point of view and integral to the success of our green cleansing program. CSI is devoted to follow a set of stewardship principles that have been developed by leaders of the green cleaning movement. These principles will help in our efforts to be great stewards of the buildings we service, their residents, our workers, and the general environment. Tidy for health first and look second, Reduce human direct exposure to contaminants and cleaning products, Acknowledge cleansing as an ecological health advantage, Devote to occupational development of cleaning workers, Interact the worth of healthy structures, Minimize wetness, chemical and particle residue when cleansing, Guarantee worker and resident safety, Contain and reduce all pollutants entering the structure, Dispose of cleaning products in environmentally safe ways, Establish and record regular upkeep schedules.
