CSI utilizes multiple traditional validation tools to ensure that we are consistently delivering the Reliable Custodial Services promised with the best quality. Our staff is our most valuable resource and everyone in the CSI family is entitled to a safe and healthful environment. Employee health and safety is one of our business priorities and it is a CSI objective to support a clean, safe and healthy working environment for all employees. CSI adheres to all safety and health standards that are put forth by local, state and federal agencies. CSI provides safety procedures, administrative controls, personal protective equipment and instruction to abate and reduce exposure to hazards and stop injury and illness. We have developed, and will constantly refine, policies, rules, and techniques, which will improve upon the safety of everyone involved. Development and maintenance of a safe setting is a joint function of management and employees at all levels of the company. For this purpose, every reasonable effort needs to be made to reach the objective of accident prevention and protecting employee health. Our ideology is to control and eliminate, to the greatest extent possible, any risk involved in the performance of our Reliable Custodial Services. CSI has the responsibility to: Fully and completely support the Safety Program, Perpetuate a working environment that is safe and healthy for the employees, Obey occupational safety and health standards, rules, regulations and orders, Maintain an effective accident avoidance program. We expect all employees to work in a manner of solid safety procedures as displayed, instructed, and talked about. Management shall insist that employees witness and execute every rule, regulation and order necessary for the safe performance of their job, and shall take such action necessary to obtain compliance. Staff will submit to the company safety protocol by following all safety rules, advising management of unsafe conditions and recommending ways to improve upon the CSI Safety Program. There is no task so pertinent—nor any service so critical—that employees cannot take the time to work safely. The Green Seal Standard for Commercial and Institutional Cleansing Services GS-42, develops environmental requirements for cleaning service providers of business, public, and institutional buildings, including in-house and external cleaning services, to create a green cleansing program that protects human health and the environment. The basic takes a systems approach with cleansing. Assistance is offered tools and items utilized for cleansing (exactly what is utilized for cleansing) and includes staff training and planning (how cleansing is done). The standard also consists of focus on environmental improvements that lower toxicity, waste, and direct exposure to both structure occupants and custodial staff. The requirement can serve as a tool to help companies begin to act to improve their cleaning company and is available for Green Seal accreditation.
