The Green Seal Standard for Commercial and Institutional Cleaning Solutions GS-42, develops environmental requirements for cleaning up provider of industrial, public, and institutional buildings, consisting of in-house and external cleaning services, to create a green cleaning program that protects human health and the environment. The standard takes a systems approach with cleaning. Guidance is offered tools and items utilized for cleansing (what is used for cleaning) and includes staff training and preparation (how cleansing is done).
