What started 20 years ago as a small, family-owned Janitorial Company is now a advanced family-owned building services provider offering a multitude of Mechanical Operations to owners and managers of commercial facilities. CSI takes an active role in recycling and waste reduction and will comply with its customers recycling procedures. We are responsible to establish, handle, and totally support the established Recycling Program of CSI and those of each of our customers as well as our employees. Our obligations include: Corporate and Field Management, Site Supervisors and Supervisors: Promote the interest of our workers in the importance of ecological and recycling practices, Motivate participation and promote a positive attitude to recycling, Function as an intermediary between CSI and our customers, Help our clients with the implementation of their recycling treatments, Comply with governmental regulations worrying the reduction, reuse, recycling and healing of waste products. Business Employees: Take an active role by following the recycling treatments, Have a positive mindset towards waste decrease and recycling within your working area, Recommend or recommend methods of reducing waste. At our Customers' facility-- All CSI employees must follow the center's recycling program and the following steps: Usage separate containers to collect recyclable papers, Gray brute with black liner is for collecting trash, Blue brute with clear liner is for collecting recycling paper, Use different containers to gather recyclable papers, Collect cans, plastic and bottles in blue liners and position them in the commingle compactor, Gather shredded paper in clear liners and position it in the recycling compactor or container for exclusive information, Do not get rid of disposable gloves in the trash containers, Recycle all packaging materials for our cleansing items, Speak with your Manager or the Recycling Coordinator of the facility for any extra details relating to the facility's recycling procedures. CSI REDUCES: Collect cans, plastic and bottles in blue liners and position them in the commingle compactor, Usage separate containers for trash and recyclable products at your desk and central areas, Print double sided (saves approximately 50%), Uses paperless payroll system to relieve paper checks to assist lessen the overall environmental footprint of our company, Print only when necessary, Proof checks out documents for mistakes before printing to prevent waste, Sends e-mail memos to save paper, Prevents printing emails, Evaluates any paper copy storage, change with a back- up hard disk for centralized storage, Uses e-mail instead of sending letters by post, Switches devices off completely at night and at weekends, Puts devices on power save where possible, Purchases resilient equipment, Has paper recycling stations beside copy machines and printers, Utilizes energy efficient light bulbs (Typically they take in 8% less energy than a basic bulb It lasts about 12 times longer), Flattens all cardboard boxes.
